The Trivalent International Small-Mid Capitalization Equity strategy is focused on identifying what the team believes are the most attractive candidates among non-U.S. companies through a combination of quantitative and fundamental analysis. Characteristics sought include: high return on invested capital, improving and sustainable business momentum, positive earnings surprises, and attractive valuations.

Philosophy & Process

The Trivalent International Team believes stock selection is the most reliable and consistent source of alpha. The team implements this philosophy by purchasing companies exhibiting positive business momentum at attractive valuations relative to sector/peer groups and by working to minimize risk associated with country and sector allocation through tight benchmark-relative risk controls. This philosophy focuses the team’s efforts on security selection. The goal is to create a broadly diversified portfolio of securities from the countries represented in the MSCI ACWI (All Country World Index) ex-USA Small-Mid Cap Index.
